Fanny

My name is Graciela, a proud grandmother of eight sweet grandchildren, a mother of three lovely daughters and the wife of the love of my life, Marcos. I am a resident of the Capital of the Negev, the city of Be’er Sheva.

In recent years, along with my work as an early childhood educator, I have started engaging in my free time in crocheting. Very quickly what started as a hobby took over more and more of my time and became and integral and magical part of me.

​

The more I crocheted, the more ideas popped up in my head. When one of my daughters gave birth to my little grandson I wanted to create a special and unique toy for him. One day while I was crocheting, I thought what could I make for him and then the idea came to me – Crocheted Toys.

As a teacher in my training I know how the baby learn through his senses. A toy that can help him experience different textures, that is at the same time soft and pleasant.

I decided to make a toy for him and from the moment I created the first one, his brother was already ordering a host of other toys. So I find myself spending many hours crocheting to order.

​

As those around me became more enthusiastic about my creations, I realize that a many more babies can enjoy home made, crocheted, safe toys tailored to their developmental needs. So it remained only to choose a name for the new idea. At that point became clear to me that the appropriate name was Fanny. Fanny is my mother’s name, the one responsible for making me fall in love with the art of crochet.
